why telstra is a bargain right now!

Bought a bundle of TLS today at 4.74. U/Bidder at 4.73

Why is it cheap? 17th of March you get a 15c dividend and its currently oversold in my opinion so its a good time to get set. Also Australian dollar is 78.5 US cents.

Companies exporting and dealing in U.S currencies are bleeding, interest rates should go up .25% in early March which may push the Aussie dollar higher and Telstra's earnings are largely in Aussie dollars making it a clear alternative as peopl jump from other stocks that are exposed to the stronger Aussie dollar. (In my humble opinion).

Telstra dials up half year flagfall

Telstra today announced a solid half-year result with 1.8% domestic revenue growth, 5.7% underlying net profit after tax growth and strong cash flows. The company said that the reported net profit increased by $1.1 billion to $2.3 billion, up 93.7% as compared with the same period last year in which the non cash writedown of the group’s investment in Reach occurred. Shares in the Aussie carrier were down 7c at $4.75
