I wasn't suggesting that it would save us from high prices - just that the world wont end with no alternatives.

Oh of course it won't. Didn't mean to come across as though I think it will. There are plenty of alternatives, I hope just they can be scaled up to offest the fall in supply and any difference won't be too painful economically.
