have you ever heard the term "can't see the forest for the trees" ?? can i tell you a story. I have a life long friend. we have been friends since we were 5 though i have not seen him much in recent years. He is a good fellow (he would not have been my friend for so long if he wasn't) but he sees the world totally differently to me. He has an eye for detail to the nth degree that is beyond ridiculous. talented with his hands he built his own family home planning every brick beyond belief. he could not have a wall that was 0.01 mm off square. The result was that his home looked like a building site for 10 years as such perfection takes up so much time and he continually got harassing letters from the council but by god he knew that every rafter in his ceiling was evenly spaced within a hair's width. You couldn't SEE the rafters but they were dead evenly spaced and that was all that mattered.

One day many years into the project when i dropped by to see him he called my into their ensuite to see the timber work he had sanded within an inch of it's life and had applied no less than 16 coats of vanish to it. but what occurred to me more than anything else was how the tidiness of his home had degenerated to a point where there were little walkways throughout the house through the piles of junk as he was so bogged down in the detail that he had no time for the big important obvious stuff............but the timber in the ensuite had 16 coats of vanish.

He could never come to terms with what he perceived in me as a slap happy attitude to getting the job done and to this day I think he just can't see the big picture.

Some posters here remind me of my friend. they seem to be good people but they just view the world differently. they may think some of us are slap happy for not getting too bogged down over the nuts and bolts of who is providing the dollars for the CVI projects but what i see is that there is a much bigger picture that needs to be seen.

It's a beautiful forest made up of many trees....
