SP as a measurement for director performance is loaded with danger.

It promotes short term thinking, piss poor planning, costly company killing short cuts.

It is the absolute worst measure for the health and wellbeing of a company.


It’s also influenced by some many factors completely outside of a company’s control - in our case - sector popularity, POG, government taxes, regulations, economic climate - access to funding etc.

In a major downturn - you could have JC as CEO. and the Apostles as your board finding 100 kg nuggets and your SP can still go south

Do you replace your board then??


All that has happened here is that Tom has looked in the oven glass and said ‘I think she’s done’ - he’s turned the gas off and is waiting to open the oven.
