Yep, I just didn't want people to be thinking that Toyota were to be producing millions of LiIon batteries for their car and abandoning the NiMH batteries. It is quite clear that if toyota are adding a factory capable of 300,000 NiMH batteries then they expect to be selling NiMH for quite some time. And it's been working well for them:

"Toyota, on the other hand, has only needed to replace 0.003 percent of its hybrid batteries out of warranty on the second generation Prius."

Conversely this is quite a turnaround for Toyota, who up until very recently had claimed that Li batteries were not at the required for level for them to be used, citing safety concerns.
