that comment about bag charges was ridiculous.

he said that the cost of processing a bag was more expensive than processing a passenger so why should bags be free.

baggage processing costs (operating costs) are already costed into the ticket price so nobody is currently getting bags onboard for free.....if people are getting their bags on for free godfrey should be sacked for incompetence because he hasn't been paying attention to YIELD for the past 8 years.

if you have ever travelled you will know that you will get charged for excessive baggage weight so this means a certain baggage weight already forms part of the cost of the ticket.

as i said....BS baffles brains.

so instead of hiding higher airfares behind fuels surcharges and bag charges just be honest and set an airfare that at the very least covers costs.

if no passengers check in bags they will not cover their fuel costs, will they.

look beyond the smoke and mirrors.
