No. You cannot buy a stock and hold it for someone else. If it remains under your name it is your tax obligation
You can buy the stock for her and then through a broker do an off market transfer to her...but this will cost maybe $50 extra appx.
She can go on the comsec site ( maybe others) and somewhere there it will let her place an order ( maybe by phone) without opening an account ...but probably only once or twice...and this will probably cost a little extra.
