i have sometimes wondered how would a depression play out. i heard through someone of some people who bought land on the nsw coast and grow there own food preparing for a meltdown. nice idea but if the $hit hit the fan the mob would just come and take it off you....unless you were heavily armed.

in the medium term in america i think they'll reach the point where the wealthy live in heavily fortifed gated communities with armed guards, similar to armed guards protecting apartment buildings in moscow today, isreali west bank settlements and also south africa (they've got bullet and bomb proof cars their).

the crime rates in america are going to just get worse and worse as they continue the journey to being a third world bankrupt nation.
