    "In Salta we guarantee investment conditions for mining companies"


    Governor Urtubey led the working meeting between provincial officials, mayors of the Puna and chambers of mining companies to agree on actions that promote the development of the area in parallel with business development.

    The Governor Juan Manuel Urtubey and the Chief of Cabinet of Ministers, Fernando Yarade led a working table with legislators, mayors of Puna towns and representatives of mining chambers and entrepreneurs of the Province to advance in actions that allow the development of the industry mining in Salta, as well as, of the communities where the productive activity takes place.

    The governor considered that the Province "is entering a very important phase in terms of the mining industry, and it is necessary that while guaranteeing conditions for investment in this matter, we also generate among all the development of the communities, with works that improve their quality of life. "
    Urtubey highlighted the permanent dialogue between the public and private sectors that allows us the consensus and agreement to carry out the actions that accompany this growth in a sustainable way over time.

    "Salta has all the conditions given to become a power in the mining activity and put us for the first time in a place of greater development in the region," said the president.

    In this regard, he said that from the provincial government "we promote investment promotion policies and legal security for companies that want to develop in the province, because we believe that Salta can be a power in the exploitation of our mining resources."

    For his part, Minister Yarade explained that in this second meeting progress was made in giving a legal framework to the project that aims at all companies that are developing in the Puna can do infrastructure works that are necessary in each area.

    "We have the political backing of the Governor to agree with all the sectors involved in this matter and encourage the localities where the mining activity is developed to improve their quality of life," Yarade added. The project aims to emphasize that the mining sector generates local work and economic development for the area.

    The president of the Mining Chamber of Salta, Facundo Huidobro said after the meeting that the agency worked all these years open doors and the hand of the Government. "We have reached the stage where companies are ready to invest and we need the legal framework proposed by the Government in terms of infrastructure, hiring of local labor, training, environmental impact and tax policy."

    The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Manuel Santiago Godoy, the first vice president of the Chamber of Senators, Mashur Lapad, participated in the meeting; Ministers of Production, Labor and Sustainable Development, Graciela Pinal de Cid, Government, Human Rights and Justice, Marcelo López Arias and Infrastructure, Land and Housing, Baltasar Saravia.

    Also present were the Secretary of Mining, Ricardo Blasco; representatives of the San Antonio de los Cobres, La Poma and Tolar Grande municipalities; legislators from the La Poma and Los Andes departments, representatives of IPPIS; the president of the Chamber of Suppliers of Mining Companies of Salta, Gustavo Carracedo and entrepreneurs of the sector.
