Franked credits is not a rort , its perfectly legal for ALL to claim a tax credit , you can checkout the ATO website .
With any new policy proposal one cannot and should not change the law midstream , this is why laws are grandfathered.

Lets say Bill legislates from today anyone that does not drive an electric car will no longer be able to claim car expenses for business purposes .
AND from today even if you bought an electric car tomorrow you still cannot claim...
Thats fair is it ???

Bill and Ben grandfathered Neg Gearing so franked credits should be grandfathered...
Both are poorly constructed and ill thought but at least they BOTH should have been grandfathered.
