Fundamentally EPG has every reason to have smart money coming into it and so I will not deny this idea at all.
BUT fair go that article did not apply much analysis to the data. It is building a case that EPG will go up because "On Balance Volume" jumped. The day in question June 4th was a pretty wild day which included a large institutional crossing of 6 million shares early on the day. then the market over corrected by moving more than 10% once that happened BAM! some technical trades followed on extremely small volume down from 70 cents to 61 in a matter of an hour. I rang my broker that day to find out how much was actually traded at the low levels 600 shares! Hardly what I would call volume and it was not enough time or volume for smart money to be holding the price firmly at above 61 cents.
If you are after a quick fix using technical trading EPG is like running around in circles in a mine field you will blow yourself up!
Buy EPG for the long term 5 years or so and it will be a great investment.
cheers Icharus
