"The Federal Open Market Committee will strongly resist an erosion of longer- term inflation expectations."
Reading that carefully, doesn't it mean:
"The Federal Open Market Committee will strongly support longer-term inflation expectations."?
Or am I going bonkers in my old age?
If I'm reading it correctly, then we have someone who might be mildly called "inept with language" or more strongly - "slightly ahead of the moronic class", but only slightly.
Or maybe, I should be generous, and pass it off as a slip of the tongue.
