As I read this, the essence of this announcement is:
1. Explosion 2. Two months impact to gas supply 3. Alinta earnings will be temporarily affected 4. Trading halt while we work out what is going on 5. Another announcement will be made by open Thu.
Why would you even bother to mention the refinancing in the last two sentences? Let alone the term 'financial settlement'. This has successfully introduced more variables into the equation.
Either something is up (which I doubt) or BBP need to take a long hard look at their PR.
