I cant see them paying out the remediation costs in a hurry. They just took the opportunity to cut because it was expected and priced in to the SP. Easy decision for the Board. Feel for all investors who were relying on the dividend. They just took a 16% cut and will loose cash refunds as well if Labor gets in. If this happened in Africa there would be riots and protests.
In Australia we just roll over and accept it.
