There is a very fine line between getting the market excited and delivering on that, or alternatively getting them excited and then disappointing the market.
The latter is not a company you want to be invested in as the market takes a long time to forgive this, particularly as it leaves a lot of stale holders trying to exit.
Simple principle of under promise and over deliver, EVS could easily have issued a target (not guidance) of $5m and $9m (being $2m and $4m in ARR growth for the respective years), exceeded these targets comfortably and been viewed much more favorably with less revenue!
