I agree it’s disappointing and not a fair way to scale back. The fairest way is a rights issue pro rata based on shares held, but this doesn’t seem to be a popular way of raising cash. As usual it’s the retail shareholders who see their shareholding diluted, at the expense of the institutions. Unfortunately that’s how the ASX works, and little us small fishes can do about it!
