    Mortar. Mortar is used to hold building materials such as brick or stone together. ... When mixed, it is a much thicker substance than concrete, making it ideal as a glue for building materials like brick. Because mortarmust be replaced every 25-50 years, it isn't practical for structural projects.

    I know there are building issues still to be answered,
    But this glue and mortar rubbish is getting a bit overdone. Mortar is a form of glue.
    As I have posted before most new home buyers really only care about their kitchens, wouldn't know glue from snot or mortar, anyway if it's rendered definitely wouldn't know, and the builder wouldn't even need to tell them.
