probably a bit of price manipulation and a few day traders taking their 2 c a share profit for the day.
re manipulation - I was a bit suspicious as well when the 350k sell orders got put in at 38c, realistically they were never going to be taken out so I feel they were there to provide a dark cloud and flush out the sellers. It worked and the sellers chased the market down at the close. I am sure the STX faithful on this site are holding tight :-).
Still a good result for the day. Up 2.5c.
