I am 64 years of age and was 63 when completing the injections in April 2018, some 13 months ago.

I started feeling pain in my left knee in early February 2018 and went though all the normal procedures; anti inflammatory tablets, physio, daily visits to the beach etc. but there was no improvement - my symptoms were a stiff left leg each morning which would start to loosen up around lunchtime each day under the influence of anti inflammatory tablets. Pain was severe (a pain rating of 8 to 9) and I could hobble with a severe limp. All the medical people said that I would have to manage the problem with exercise and that eventually I would need a knee replacement.

At the same time I read about Andrew Walker and Greg Williams, and, as a shareholder of Paradigm from the original float, I contacted Paul Rennie and Ravi Krishnan from Paradigm, who directed me to a clinic which was conducting the pahse 2b trials. After an initial consultation and subsequent MRI I was advised that my knee condition was moderate, the iPPS treatment could help me substantially, the treatment would reduce the pain in my knee for the medium term (say 3 to 5 years) and that I would never need a knee replacement.

The pain in my knee reduced from about the 7th or 8th injection and about 5 weeks after my last injection I took off on a overseas holiday with complete pain free freedom in my knee. I currently walk about 9 to 12 kilometres every day and have suffered no loss of flexibility and no real increase in knee pain. I also gained some pain relief from more minor problems in my left hip and ankle.

My advice to anyone who has joint pain would be to get an MRI scan, determine whether there is any osteoarthritis or bone marrow edema and, if so, complete the iPPS injection regime before considering any surgery.
