    What you stated would make your fund non complying and therefore making both the fund and trustee liable for massive penalties.

    Due to the change in the interpretation of the law it is possible for SMSF to buy leveraged assets

    Instalment warrants is one method and the use of a property trust

    Setting this up is not a straight forward process and if it is not done and operated within strict constraints, the whole structure can be struck out making the fund non complying.

    It is certainly not something I would be prepared to advise on here without knowing the client, knowing what eaxactly it is they plan to do and ensuring they have a full understanding of what the arrangement involves.
