I couldn't post much yesterday but I'll try and give some quick answers.

Firstly, the design depth of the pit will very likely be about 150m. If you look at the long section drawing of the no 2 Zone you will notice a dotted line marking the 150m depth and the expected limit of the pit. The magnetite skarn has formed as vertical bands from the surface down to an unknown depth. Some of the surface material has been changed by weathering but at depth the mineralisation is more uniform.

Secondly, all intercepts are measured along the drill axis. The 280m intercept would be about 200m below the surface. Even though this is indeed below the design depth of the pit, the drill data provides useful information. For an inferred resource, data can be interpolated for 100m or more around a drill core so this intercept allows us to infer a significant amount of resource.
