What about those that bought in a week or two ago in the 20 cent zone? Could they be feeling a little mislead by all the blue sky posts that were happening around that period, given they could now be sitting on a 25-40% loss?"

    Very good point Damien83.

Noone as a first time investor likes to sit on a 40% loss in a week or so after purchase, no matter what the stock, no matter how undervalued it is, no matter what its prospects.

Nor should they necessarily sit and do nothing after purchase so they cop a quick 40% or so loss if the market turns against them.

Yet dare I say, based on what I have seen posted in CVI threads that first time investors who quickly cut their losses by selling out of CVI might be called names such as "dweebs" for such selling.

    I'd actually call them smart.

I tell you what, if I was to invest in a stock like CVI, having looked at its trading history, there is no way I would be taking a position in this stock without a stop loss.

I think it is also fair to say there are "long term investors" in this stock who first entered around five cents or so posting on Hot Copper who are totally free carried.

Now it is impossible imo to get to that position without doing some trading in the stock - like selling high when everyone here is super bullish and then maybe buying back in much lower.

Doing that it is even possible to increase the size of your investment, so being a "net buyer" and ALSO entirely 100% free carried!

Might I also add it is very easy and relaxing to be a "long term investor" in any stock, I repeat any stock, and completely divorce yourself from daily price fluctuations when should that stock even go to 1 cent you would still be showing an overall very nice profit on your initial investment in the company ... unlike any new investors who didn't quickly cut and run when the price turned against them.
