Well, there are certainly a lot of intelligent posts on both sides of the equation here. I never liked when people try to tell me to choose between science and God. To me science is complete and wonderful and cool (but we just dont know it completely). And God is complete and wonderful and cool (but we just dont know Him completely).

I alwys felt (and feel) physics and maths and nature and biology and EVOLUTION are tools of God. And he uses them.

I believed in big bang before it was even pronounced by the scientists. Because the bible clearly teaches the universe was made 'in an instant, out of nothing' (by God) or the words are something like that.

So when big bang became mainstream, I had no problem.

By the way, the bible also clearly shows the world was not flat.

The big problem God has in describing Himself and His methods in the bible, is how the heck do you convey the truth to such backward people. I think He is incredibly clever in conveying truth about creation and MORALS and 'stuff' in his Word. I never, never have a conflict, in my mind, between science and intelligence and my beliefs in God.

Hey, I just learned this asterroid that fell in Australia some years back and was recoverd and tested has been found to have the 'stuff' that makes RNA which is the 'stuff' needed for DNA which is the 'stuff' needed for life.

So, now I am having fun thinking humans (via evolution) came from outer space. Actually, I think my belief is God used evolution for most things, but stepped in personally to create humans. But I am not sure. Ha, ha. Who is sure.

But, really, my belief is that intelligent people who do not believe in God fall into the trap where they make THEMSELVES God. They are the boss and the moral decider. I dont like that. I think it is wrong and NOT INTELLIGENT. It is just my opinion.

Funny though, in the bible God himself says it is OBVIOUS he exists by looking at nature and the universe (ie. science points to the God's existence.). So my opinion is that the MORE intelligent a person is, the MORE likely he is to acknowledge a creator.
