I'll take a guess and say that you were guilty of overtrading, not staying out of the market when your criteria was not being met. Using 'addiction' gave you away and many get caught that way, becoming a gambler rather than a savvy trader. However overtrading is one of the first big lessons to be learnt, to know when the big boys are sitting it out. Reduce your trading and lift your criteria and the money will roll in again.
