"He was terminated for expressing a view that directly contradicted his contractual obligations."

If that is the case then the contract is illegal and invalid because no organization is permitted to make their own laws that contradict the laws of the state or commonwealth.

Here is what the constitution says about religious freedom:

The Commonwealth shall not make any law for establishing any religion, or for imposing any religious observance, or for prohibiting the free exercise of any religion, and no religious test shall be required as a qualification for any office or public trust under the Commonwealth.

Israel Folau can argue that he was only expressing his well known religious beliefs - which are the same in every mainstream religion.

He can also argue that he was not in breach of his contract because clause 1.3 is clearly an anti-bullying clause and his post was not intended to harass or bully anyone, and meant only for curbing behaviours that his religion considers unholy.

Since when has Rugby Australia become the overseer of religious beliefs in Australia? If people don't like what Folau's religious beliefs say they can take it with a grain of salt. - How did it ever get to this?
