Asahi Kasei Pharma(Japan Pharma) currently offer self-injectable Kevzara for treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis at $600 per 150mg and $800 per 200mg, covered by Japan's public health insurance. Interestingly, Asahi Kasei Pharma has a link to PPS for treatment of OA. In 2004, Bene PharmaChem and ReqMed commenced a collaboration for development of pentosan for treatment of OA. Following completion of two Phase 1 studies in Japan, the companies licensed Asahi Kasei to progress a Phase 2a study in Japan in 2010. ReqMed is a current partner with Paradigm and Mount Sinai in current investigation of PPS to treat MPS. ReqMed developing the drug in Japan and other select Asian countries. Paradigm have rights to EU, US and some other countries not referenced.
