Not quite sure what happened last night PJ although am confident 100's of very professional talking heads will try to explain it to me over next few days.

Ah John Clarke, like 1000's of other Australian's a good friend that I actually never met.

I picked up on Clarke very early in life, would always stop and listen didn't really know why.

A kiwi, strange lookin bloke with a funny voice but a certain quality beyond definition.

His death hit the garage out of all proportion to knowledge of the man, as above never met him.

At the time the hound was just a 50 bucker special fresh from the pound with his apprenticship ahead, frank still doing it hard in his log down the back, the team very much an ineffectual annoyance to the market at best, some would argue nothing has changed

The hound and I took time out of the chaos to raise a glass to something good having left.

Have international friends and constantly get asked what Australia actually 'is'.

At 15 would have answered with certainty, at 45 the answer being 'don't have a clue but the trend lookin a bit iffy'

I suppose one could add although clueless if the nation could take a very small step in Clarkey's direction
that would be a good thing.

Team looking to re enter LON and accumulate on weakness.
