I still am all for it Pedro because franking credits should not be refunded. It's another tax concession the country can not afford.
But pragmatically if removing them is going to lose you a swag of votes then you either don't do it or you find a way of doing it without it affecting many people. As I said Labor handled this badly and it almost certainly lost them votes.
And Bowen needs to wear this one. If he becomes leader then Labor is sunk next election too.
