There was a period of a few months where acl were taking over a company called Meditec.
Meditec always traded at a discount, of normally 10%. So I would buy 90,000 meditech & sell 10,000 acl at the same time. A few days later, I would accept acl's offer and swap my 90,000 meditech shares for 10,000 acl shares. Then I would do it again.
I managed it about 10 times, making about $1,000 every time.
Is there normally such a difference between sla & slacf, or is this just short term because of the 22c profit takers?
cheers
ps. Well done Jannie
