I am hoping Chris Bowen gets the leadership nod. Labor would be in opposition for a decade. A man with zero charisma and a face only another used car salesman could love.
Labor have problems - both Albanese and Tanya are from Labor left. The electorate spoke comprehensively on Saturday what it thinks of socialist policies. To continue in the same vein would invite further defeat. Australians hover around the centre - slightly right or slightly left. That is reassuring and is why our system works so well. Shorten dragged Labor to the far left; they need someone from their centre or right factions to drag them back to where the voters are and away from the fringes.
