    Hellyeah,

    My sentiments exactly.

UBS has just made a $12 billion loss...in a quarter! But when the boss is taking a 90% pay cut this is telling.Standard and Poors has downgraded them, and I think their valuation of Beach is not correct.

I recall having Futuris shares in 2002. It was said in court that UBS undervalued Incitec which benefited their client Pivot. The ruling went against them. They also tripped up in the Quantas mess recently.

Also..UBS is in the top 20 shareholders for Santos...(2007)

I think the funds through Santos may make a play for Beach in November, so are keeping the price down.

I think the share price is being pushed down to disuade small shareholders in taking up on the offer. The same thing happened in 2006.

Beach was founded by the "true believers" but is being taken over by the funds.

    Top 20 Shareholders Own:
    2003 %20.3
    2005 %43.0
    2007 %47.7

Come November it is the small shareholders who can push the price to its real value. $12 billion of oil and 1 billion shareholders (guess).

In November the fireworks will begin. Now the chess pieces are just being put on the board.

I have sold the furniture and will buy low instead of waiting for the offer.
