I am almost 100% sure you are unable to claim a tax loss yet. I have been through this before.
Only when the status of View Resources is established by the the Administrators will you know where you stand. Only when the Company is legally wound up/liquidated can the Administrators give a formal notice/declaration that you will be able to claim a capital loss.
At present there is a posibility (no matter how remote it is) that the Creditors will agree to a Deed of Company Arrangement and View Resources will be handed back by the Administrators to the Board of Directors. Given that a rescue package has been put in place by Views major shareholder we could see a restructured company and hopefully share holders may still have some equity. It is hard to tell because we are not privy to all the financials. If View Resources is relistd from suspension you can then sell and take a capital loss. At present I don't think it is legal to sell your shares "off market".
Check with your accountant or you can raise the matter with the ATO.
