    LOL

You are a funny guy LE

You come on here pretending to be knowledgable and astute and yet you fail to grasp the meaning of very basic terms

    Like "return"

if you did understand what this very basic term ment

Why go on with this foolish rant

"The other thing I will re-examine is the mechanics of investing in one asset class vs the other.

The amount that an individual can invest (given their income) has to be taken into account if you are to calculate the relative merits of each asset class."

The above of course is very relevant when discussing the benefits of various types of investments but has absolutely nothing to do with the actual total gains made on one class of assets over another.

And yes when assessing some of these areas property compared to shares will be a better choice

And some of the benefits of the above will lead investors to fore go the potential larger gains from shares and opt for property instead

One day people like you who fall blindly in love with a particular investment or class of investments will realise that it is not some pathetic sporting competion that has to be won in every area.

All investments have various pros and cons, in some ares they maybe better than another investment in other areas they may not be.

What maybe an advantage to one investor mayb a disadvantage to another and what an investor views as an advantage or disadvatage now can and often does over time.
