The data suggests a total of around 35m shares were shorted between 1.27-1.80. Total shorts sit at around 65million shares. Now yesterday saw about 7.5m shares trade while average volume is around 6.5m shares.

so if all the shorts were to start closing their losing positions it's going to take 10-15 days minimum to close shorts and that's based on all the volume going to the shorters meaning it may actually take them more than 30 days to cover their shorts in an orderly way. And that would mean hello 2.50-3.00....

at least there is one positive from the Liberal victory, shorts are on fire.
