Heard that ERA are wanting to raise the height of the tailings pond by 2m before this coming wet season & that the NT Gov are concerned about the impact of extra water volume (weight) on seepage & are possibly going to call for a new EIS before granting permission. In addition there is apparently also concerns being voiced by the TO's that the extension of Pit3 could adversely impact on Magella Creek. Maybe these rumblings are having an adverse effect on the sp of late?
