In order to have cheaper Electric vehicles, we need cheaper batteries. To get cheaper batteries, we need cheaper raw materials, including lithium. Car manufacturers have every reason to drive lithium prices down. The higher lithium price goes, the lower the demand. Margin of 300usd to 500usd is still too high. Lithium battery manufacturers will try their best to squeeze these margins, so lithium miners will suffer.
