But they did pay tax! The dividend payment was taxed! Receiving dividends is no different from a person working and being taxed by the company come payday. When it comes to end of financial year, you look at taxable income, work what the correct tax should have been and either pay more or get a refund. Every tax payer in Oz does this. Sorry you don't like this.
