Astral, I agree that there seems to be a level of irrational exuberance - to borrow a phrase. And as as you say, all increases are seen as the beginning of a great leap up.
A more realistic view is that the price currently does reflect what is known. There are risks to the downside which could be significant and sudden and substantial or just slow loss of value. On the other hand AMP management will do all they can to grow value. This will be a gradual process.
Like you, I could argue that the current price does not currently reflect the downside risk. There are reasons for this. One is hope.
