Because the iron ore price with high quality has gone up to above $100 per tonne, if you are a noteholder, should you change your mind and why would you give away SDL to other party by only receiving $50 million plus options. The ANS/WAPRC is still not able to obtain $100 million from China to Australia for more than 8 months. Since the acquisition deal will expire on 1 July 2019, let see who will become the ultimate major holder of SDL in July 2019. The reality is coming soon. No parties will be able to satisfy all conditions stated in the acquisition agreement by only one month left to 30 June 2019. If the noteholders refuse to extend the acquisition deal beyond 30 June 2019, SDL is free to deal with other parties including going back to original agreement between SDL and noteholders signed in July 2018.
