Chinese in the Pac Rim are now considered to be a tribe--even watch the name CCTV news every night. The country now assumes Pac Rim Chinese to be loyal to China. Certainly Australians don't have to be told about Chinese "influence"--if you say anything about it you must be a racist and anti-Chinese! Of course the Chinese in Malaysia are strongly influenced by what Beijing wants. And they have the money to throw around to get what they want as seen in Australia. I'm sure rare earths and Lynas more than interest China's communist rulers.
