Well it might, which is why I exited one of my funds in Feb, but it always bounces back unlike gold which has tanked since 2011 and shows no signs of life, it's not in the mortuary yet, but it's on life support.
Trump has a massive ego, he's a narcissist, so he'll be planning ahead to make sure that all the messy stuff's out of the way before next year's election.
Goldbugs are always predicting crashes, economic ruin and the like, if I listened to them I'd be bankrupt. What about all the bank crashes that have been predicted over the last few years, the USD is going to zero and all that other bumpf.
Just recently goldbugs have been frothing at the mouth over the property market predicting a ruinous implosion. Well I've been in and out of SGP twice, sold MGR and bought BLD recently after its selloff which I think was overdone. So much for the property crash.
I think there's much better pickings in ASX stocks that have better prospects after the election than gold and silver, with less risk...but again, I'm not psychic.
TA is interesting though, I'll be watching for the bottom in SBM, but there could be false alarms.
