Betting on property through direct investment or REITs is a very risky proposition when a recession is a damn certainty now in both the US and Australia.
The yield curve indicator has been flashing for a few months and now it’s gone tropical. If you follow the bond market you will have noticed yields have crashed and the Aussie 10yr is now below the RBA cash rate. Not good. Money is looking for safety and it’s been right in predicting every recession. Ignore at your own peril.
