You are correct sachz, Mali Lithium does not need Kodal at all, in fact, Kodal would probably be a drag on Mali Lithium, and just encourage a large bloated bureaucracy, higher costs, and lower grades, and an administrative burden.

Kodal is a leecher stock, opportunists that attempt to exploit nearology. This is not a criticism, nothing wrong with that, it happens all over the world every day in the Mining sector. It's just that Mali Lithium has the source, and Kodal has come in to try and clean up some scraps. Look at their grades, they are on the periphery. There stock price has also been slaughtered lately, 22 pence to 9 pence as people wake up.

This is why Mali Lithium does not need Kodal, but how good it would be for Kodal to merge with Mali Lithium. I feel confident in saying there will never be a merger as long as Mali Lithium owns those tenements with those grades.

Is there, or will there be, at some time, some industrial espionage going on - who knows. Perhaps it will be the opposite, and they will help each other in Mali without forming a formal merger, good people do this.

Also consider that Kodal has no gold, and is not getting a couple of million dollars a year from their gold projects, like Mali Lithium is. It would be detrimental for Mali Lithium to even consider merging.

In the end, I think both will do their own thing, except for maybe sharing some transport costs to port, or some shipping costs - nothing more.

And Kodal does not have anyone on their board who has build a Lithium mine, while Mali Lithium's CEO build Altura, and he is bringing onboard the best people he had at Altura, and all those lessons will be learnt and improved on, eventually making Mali Lithium a jewel in the crown IMHO.
