From the articles you just posted, i believe its just a summary of how china views the current situation. And from my reading on this situation i don't think xi will further escalate unless trump pulls the pin first. And we all know the counter measures that xi has at his disposal.

i don't think this white paper according to xinhua really provides anything new. I suppose we'll just have to wait it out to see what the next moves are out of the g20 summit but looking at various articles does not point to a miraculous trade agreement to come out of this.

china has always stated that they will only agree to a "win-win" deal for both sides and trump has always made his sentiments known that it has to favour the us so i guess we could be looking at a stalemate. Atleast for the short term. Would be good for lyc though if that was the case.
