I think the 6bn in debt is pertinent. Whilst the most pressing issue to resolve is the senior debt, the rest of the debt will have a huge impact on AFG's ability to refinance the debt. If AFG had heaps of free cash flow then there is a good chance that the senior debt would already be re-financed. We know very little about the non-recourse debt - like is it fixed, what term it is on etc. and what impact is it having on AFG's earnings.
I think that regard this debt as a non-issue would be a mistake.
