Thats OK, though @lasseter_au everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect yours but as you probably realise I am quite passionate about the current state of world politics, economics, stock markets and affairs.
Another aspect, which I haven't mentioned previously, in my reasoning is that the implementation of tariffs is also a way the USA is attempting to curtail the blatant theft of intellectual property worldwide by some Chinese companies which enables them to produce and export goods much cheaper because they haven't had to spend any of their own money on research, development, copyright, marketing etc. This breach also affects Australian companies on a massive scale. We have all come across some very cheap (often inferior) Chinese products. Have you ever wondered why they are cheaper?
