Shapelle - GUILTY!

The family - well known in the "hazy" world of pot on the Gold Coast. The convictions prove it.

Anyone who says pot ain't serious has never had to pick up the pieces of those who

(a) smoke (have a nephew who is presently in a hostel trying to get rid of his addiction, he's been diagnosed as schitzo...and most probably will never work effectively for the rest of his life...the brain is fried. Then there is his mate...school dux..now with the brain capacity of a ten year old.

and
(b) those who don't smoke but have to live with a pot smoker. My sister & brotther in-law who have a lock on their bedroon in their own home to protect their belongings and feel safe at night...and the bashings they have copped. The two other kids who have taken off overseas to get away from the brother.

Even closer to home...a marriage split up of one of my kids because the hubby wouldn't get off his arse and work because of the effects of pot. The pot was a stronger attraction than a wife and a child!

Twenty years is twenty deserving years...just ask those who know and suffer..daily...and there are hundreds of thousands of them out there.

Pot isn't a silly diversion like getting pissed for the first time. It's a killer...a dream destroyer...a family breaker and a social menace.

For those who peddle this misery...shame.

I won't be watching this show because I doubt if the truth will be revealed. This family have got sufficent media coverage. What about airing the misery that pot causes?
