Extremely beneficial in third world countries where child death rates due to pediatric pnemonea are extreme. The test is performed, diagnosis made and treatment commenced if required. Huge benefit is no x-rays, no bloodtests and no taking up (Telemedicine) of travelling, in cases 1000's of kilometers to a hospital. However, in the west's current enviroment, countries are taking up Telemedicine at great speed, and RAP is the "new" stethoscope, being able to check a patient over a phonecall, using just a smartphone. No waiting in clinics, no x-rays, no travelling, and the way of the future. (even so far as to provide an electronic scrip for the pharmacy to dispence and deliver to your door.
So imagine the material cost-savings and benefits to efficiencies of administration, records, enviroment and patients comfort . All that for $5 - $10 per test ontop of the drs fee. Better than the tax payer having to subsidise the hundreds of bucks for the rest of the tests plus a reduction in exposure to xray.
Hope that helps.
Don't forget slepp apnoea! Thats a whole other market resulting from our western society lacking in attention to diet. Obesity playing a large role in this.
But all that info is on their website in anns. DYOR. Its facsinating!
