The laws around testing for dope will change (more likely) or be repealed due to the inaccuracy once legalised & as more court cases & testing bring that inaccuracy to light.
Anyone (especially those that have never tried or done it) who think that after using hooch makes your driving more aggressive is talking utter nonsense! Those of you that have will know exactly what I am talking about & will agree wholeheartedly! If anything, driving under the influence of marijuana makes you more paranoid which in turn slows things down to like when you are doing 40km's in a 60 zone & think you are flying! I would compare it to seniors driving on our roads that are a little slower in reflexes (should we ban them from driving too?). Whereas those I know who have been smoking most of their lives whilst stoned are actually better drivers than when they were straight! I believe that the US has the best method for testing & that is the sobriety test! As you are well aware or will be after reading the links it depends on you weight, height & frequency of use/metabolism much like alcohol.
I will bet big that anyone in an accident found with marijuana in their system will have had the other 2 major aggressive drugs in their system like alcohol & amphetamines. I would be really interested to see how many drivers found with only marijuana in their system have had serious accidents/incidents?
