Also, as you can see from the articles, iTEST/Xiecheng are driving recognition of MABR as a legitimate treatment alternative for reaching the highest standards of sewage treatment. Having been partners for less than a year, they have already got the technology approved by universities, government agencies, ministers, plus powerful union leaders and national highway leadership. Now that they have won this award, this is further recognition of the potential of MABR and it may drive pilot application and funding in other areas (outside of highway service areas in Hubei).

Hubei Province is actually also the current national pilot project of environmental rectification/reform of the entire Chinese transport system. President Xi Jinping and relevant ministers will take note of the progress that iTEST are making on the Hubei highway systems (reduction of sewage impact from road transportation), and all other provinces will be expected to follow suit in coming years if this is deemed to be a successful method of green highway reform.

Having this level of coverage and national attention on iTEST and MABR is a dream scenario.
Other provincial highway operators are taking notice so far in Shaanxi, Shanxi and Henan and are discussing business opportunities. Others will also follow suit. Even CGGC in Hubei is partnering with iTEST's parent on relevant highway operations, and it is likely that sewage and the environment will be a discussion topic.
As iTEST is generating data from their own install base, other highway operators will be able to view reports of this to confirm treatment standards and reduction in maintenance costs, without having to conduct their own large scale testing. Also having MABR installed in other provinces around the country in Zhejiang, Hunan, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Jilin, Henan, and Beijing, provincial operators may be able to access some data specific to those regions as well. Then Fluence can provide additional reports from installs on multiple continents.

Progress is certainly being made, it might be a few more years before we are accepted off the shelf, but the additional data and coverage that SUBRE will also bring from larger treatment plants will also help to bring additional credibility. However, most data we have seen come out of the various partners around the world for MABR, plus the SUBRE competition from Oxymem and Zeelung seems to indicate that MABR treatment does indeed provide a high level effective treatment while reducing costs associated with aeration.

It looks more and more likely that MABR will be adopted as a treatment standard rather than ignored, it will just take time.
